Death, Dying, Grieving & Conscious Transitions by Anahata Ananda

Where are you on this subject?

It is time for a new paradigm surrounding, death, dying and grieving. Let’s dissolve the taboos and start talking openly about our feelings. Let’s take the time to heal the wounds and address the fears. Take a deep, honest look at your own judgments, fears, beliefs and experiences with death and dying. I realize that this may feel uncomfortable and perhaps bring up some deep emotions around your personal experiences with the death. Do you have unresolved feelings around this subject? Are you still grieving? How do you feel about your own death?  Because there is so much taboo in our society around death and dying, many people just stuff their emotions, grief or fears which causes part of one’s Sprit to die and heart to close.

About Death

Death is as natural a part of life, as birth is. Living in this body is a Divine gift for the soul to experience itself in human form.  We do not own this body; we are just temporary stewards of it; therefore LIFE is precious and valuable due in part to its fleeting nature, however long or short that may be. Likewise we do not own the body or soul of another, even if it is spouse, lover, child, parent, sibling, relative, friend or colleague. It is the attachment to our body or to another’s that creates the pain experienced. Nature experiences life and death in every moment sending us the reminder that change is constant and what is constant is change. It is when we honor the cycles within our own life and the lives of others that peace with death, life and living is experienced.

The Transition

Each soul chooses its own transition.  If you are arguing with this statement, then there is more to heal here. It may be difficult and painful to try to rationalize why someone would choose a particular transition.  Beyond the human perspective, the Soul is aware of the bigger picture and higher purpose.  Some souls come in to awaken others.  Some souls come in to shed light on an issue that needs attention.  Some souls come to lead and then depart to allow others to step into leadership. Some souls come in to remind us that love is possible. Some souls awaken forgiveness and compassion. Some souls give their lives so others can live. Some souls show us by example which path NOT to follow. Regardless of the method of transition: illness, accident, suicide, battle, overdose, murder or old age, there is a Divine plan much large than our human eyes can see.

The Soul’s Journey

Each Soul has its own journey. Recognizing and respecting this sovereignty and the unique path, purpose and timing of each soul is truly liberating. Many who are stuck in the grieving process are often having difficulty honoring the sovereignty, purpose or timing of one soul’s transition. It is in the celebration of what each soul has shared that life is lived. Each soul leaves clues, gems, gifts and teachings inside the hearts and souls of others.

The Blessings & Healing

Sometimes the “gift” is too painful to see or receive. In death, we are often reminded how sacred and precious life is.  This is a gift in itself.  When someone close departs, this helps us to connect to the Spirit world.  There is now an angel that we have a soul connection with, to help guide us and keep us company on our own journey. Each soul that is dear to us has left behind little reminders, sayings, ways of being that will help us in our own life. They stepped back, so we would have the chance to step up and explore our own the answers to life’s mysteries.

The New Paradigm of Conscious Transitions

It is time for a new perspectives, new language, new ceremonies and new consciousness around life transitions.  Death beckons us all someday and the more we heal, shift and awaken to this, then the joy of living really begins. It is possible for us to maintain a more peaceful experience of allowing and respect when a loved one transitions. It is possible to celebrate the gifts and journey of each soul while honoring the preciousness of this present life. Here is one’s woman’s testimonial of what is possible:

“Through my work with Anahata, I was able to reclaim my strength and allow for my husband to have a loving and beautiful transition in a very conscious way. She holds a space for you that allowed rapid growth and comfort. Anahata is truly multifaceted in her gifts. She aided me to be able to let go and ground myself in the present. I feel very grateful to have had her by my side during a very challenging time. I would recommend Anahata to anyone looking to further their spiritual growth in any area. She is a beam of light that sheds conscious awareness not only around death but in many areas where one may be stuck or even are just in need of some clarity. Thank you Anahata for bringing so much love and awareness for both my process, my husband’s, as well as the countless others you continue to touch.” ~Patricia Lombardo-Larson
